Keep it simple, part 2

Today, for the daycare, I made the Kraft Mac & Cheese. Yes, out of the
box - Yes, I know that this crap is incredibly unhealthy. However, when
you have three one year olds running amok and a four year old insisting
to help with cooking, sometimes the Kraft crap is a best option.

Know what I did?

Instead of adding 1/4 cup of margarine, I put in 1/2 cup of butternut
squash puree.

And the kids didn't even know.

And they're eating it right now, double fisted. Can't put it in fast
enough.

This inventing recipes thing is fun!

By the way, I served this with a side of green beans and a side of fruit (apples and grapes)

I love mac & cheese too! I don't care if its unhealthy for me or not :) BUT the idea of adding something oter then margarine/butter is a good idea. I'll have to ask miss P about this new mac & cheese she had at daycare today :)

I always cut the margarine down and add more skim milk. Yup we eat it here too. I hate it but the kids love it so it is a special treat every so often!

You just gave me an idea! Maybe I can puree brussel sprouts and put it in your Dad's mac and cheese!

Love you!
