Shes Six Now!

Holy cow, my first born is six years old now. How does that even happen? If you ask her, she keeps growing because of all those green beans, sweet peas, carrots, and broccoli she's been eating. Please don't tell her differently, I kind of like it this way.

For the sake of random bloggery, I will now present you with five ways I'm a terrible mom:

1. I'm blogging about this being Juila's 6th birthday and I'm not sharing pictures or video at this time.  The promise of a future post filled with eye candy will have to suffice for now.
2. I promised Julia pinkalicious cupcakes for her birthday but instead made cupcake cones because I happen to think those are more fun and are cuter. Who cares what the birthday girl really wants, right?
3. Julia opened her biggest and best present of the whole year today at noon, and she's been forbidden from playing with it until Big Brother is on tonight.  Mom of the year right here, right?  It's a DS and she played it for 4 straight hours so I insisted that she take a break.  It's just a convenience that BB is on tonight, thus providing great timing for a revisit with the DS for an hour before bed. Heh.
4. My girls' birthdays are (3 years and) 8 days apart and so we have celebrated their birthdays on the same day, sometime between Julia's and Rebecca's.  We will just have one big birthday party for both girls until one of them really complains about that.  It's frugal and fabulous, if you ask me. God help us when they're tweenie-boppers and want two individual parties.
5. I plan to play Julia's DS the first chance I get when she's not home. We bought Mario Party for her, mwahahaha
