Open Letters

Dear Life,
I can't decide if you are speeding up or slowing down. I think I'm finally getting my priorities in order, and I like that. You're moving at a comfortable pace now-a-days!  I'm sure that will soon change as we inch closer and closer to race day. Oh well, it's fun right now! Thanks for the sunshine and the laughs.

Dear IRS,
WE DID IT!!!! WE FINALLY DID IT!!!!!  After 5 months of nail biting and anxious anticipation, we finally got non-profit 501(c)3 status!  We jumped through all the hoops, filled out all your silly forms, worded everything just right, signed documents, held official meetings, etc. etc. etc.... and now we did it!!  I'm thrilled.  Thanks for coming through ya know, this century.

By the way - it was nice to get some of MY money back this year. THANKS for the tax refund (though, it was mine to begin with anyway, you know that - riiight?).   Thanks to this year's return, we are DEBT FREE!  WOOOOOOOO

Dear Dave Ramsey,
Two years ago sweet husby brough home a little flyer with your picture on it.  I laughed at him and called your program a scam. I asked the famous question, "Why would anybody pay money to listen to a guy teach you how to SAVE your money???"  What a crock!  But, dood? Sweet husby talked me into going through the program, and I must say that you really do totally rock!  Thanks for helping us stop being stupid.

Dear baggage,
Take a hike.  Why can't my baggage ever get lost? Seriously - I've got so much junk in my trunk that I need to let go of. I need to lose the baggage and chin-up and stop worrying over the unknowns and the what'ifs.  Life's too short to be carrying all that weight.  So - baggage - Good riddance!

Dear LOST,
I've been a faithful fan for years and got sucked into all your interesting little plots, twists, and turns.  Often times, Tuesday evenings have been my favorite part of the whole week - just because husby and I know we are going to spend time together before, during, and after the show...    But lately? I'm so lost!!  Just when I think I have stuff figured out, you mess up my thinking.  I'm thisclose to giving up!  Thanks, tho - it's been fun.
