usually supposed to be a little kid, and she is my mom. I enjoy this
game very much because usually she'll do my hair or rub my back. Then,
she'll pretend to bring me food - anything I want! (Usually I go for
cake and ice cream...) I even get to pretend to take a nap or go to
bed - she'll have me lay down and she'll read me a book and give me
kisses and then pretend to turn out the light and leave the room. See -
this game of playing "sister" is really quite nice for a lazy mom like
myself.
But, every once in a while, I don't want to play sister. (Imagine the
horror!) You see, when I do play sister - I get quite relaxed, and then
there's always something to tend to - like the phone or the food that is
burning on the stove, or Rebecca, who is climbing onto the kitchen
table.... there's always something, right?
Yesterday, Julia and I shared this short dialogue:
Her: Mom? Do you wanna play sister?
me: No, not really.
Her: Why not, mom. I really wanna play sister!
me: Sorry, honey - not right now.
Her: Well, then when will you play sister? I really wanna play
sister, mom!
me: I don't know when. But, I just don't feel like playing right
now. I do not have to play sister whenever you feel like it.
Her: I know, but if you won't play sister with me, then who am I
supposed to play with?
me: (I couldn't resist) How about your sister?
Her: Rebecca?
me: Yes - you could play sister with Rebecca
Her: No, mom. She doesn't make a very good sister.

awww what a sweetie!
And now I have diet pepsi all over my monitor!!! ROTFL!
It's especially hilarious that the game "Sister" involves a mom and her kid...no sisters. LOL
Julia says the funniest things!
I can't wait till you post about what conversations you overhear between the two sisters as they get older! That's the good stuff right there! :)
