So, in the interest of preservation, I want to mention a couple of funny things (you know, for blackmail down the road) ....
- Julia sings "I love you, you love you, we're a happy family, with a great big hug and kiss me into you, wont you just go love me too?" Makes us laugh every time.
- Julia's favorite word is actually. Actually, it might not be her favorite. Maybe her secon favorite. Actually, it probably is. She uses it in every sentence. Actually, every other sentence probably.
- Julia thinks any secular music heard on the radio with a female vocalist is Hannah Montana. Julia has probably never heard Hannah Montana music (actually, maybe she has heard it in dance class?) or if she has heard it, it hasn't been identified as such. Still, she'll ask to turn up any rock song because "Its Hannah Montana and I LOVE Hannah Montana!!"
- Julia has the insatiable desire to win an argument.
"I bet our neighbors have an apple tree, mom. Cuz, see? Look they have red things in their tree." Me: "No honey, I think those are just leaves - the leaves have turned red." Her: "No mom, your wrong. Those are actually apples. Actually, they're red tomatoes. It's a tomato tree." Me: "No honey, there's no such thing as a tomato tree." Her: "Yeah, mom, cuz see? Those red things in their tree are shiny tomatoes. They're not apples because it's a shiny red, like a tomato." Me: "Those are just red leaves, Jules... come look closer." Her: "Actually, mom - your wrong." Me: "Julia let's go across the street and look closer, because I want you to see that the leaves turned red and those are just red leaves that you see." Her: "I don't need to look closer, I can see the apples from here." Me: "I thought they were tomatos, not apples - because they're shiny?" Her: "Yep, See? I'm right. It's a tomato tree." ....She wins EVERY argument.
- Recently, from the back seat of the car I hear Julia ask, "Mom? What's an erection?" After very careful deliberation and some serious gut-busting, I came to find that she's asking about the eLection. Thanks a lot, media.
