Bad blogger

I'm ashamed that my posts as of late have mostly been complied of bullet point lists.  I still see the value in blogging - especially since I'm not an avid scrapbook-er. My kids are still young and I'm thankful that there are still plenty of opportunities for me to catch milestones and reflect on their journeys.  Despite my want to blog and my desire to be a better record-keeper, I just can't seem to get with the program.  I hope that someday facebook will somehow catch all of the cute things my kids say and do and compile them all into one nicely bound book. I hate that this world of technology is so easily disposable - that if a computer goes bad and a backup system fails, years worth of pictures and stories are lost forever.  I can only hope to be better about printing pictures out for safekeeping in albums and scrapbooks.  I considered that as a "new year's resolution" but I didn't want too lofty of goals. (Heh, I'll just stick with my goal to pull of a successful 5K event.)

How do you ensure that the memory of your happy home will be recorded for generations to come? Are any of you bloggers (or just blog readers, for that matter) good at keeping "paper" records of your children's milestones?  Do you have any words of wisdom for this bad blogger?

I would not say I am good at keeping records, but here's what I do (and plan to do).
- purchased babybooks for each of the kids that I fill out and put some pictures in (first year milestones and annual birthday stuff)
- memory box (rubbermaid tub) of special item (art projects, certificates, etc.), this is when they're older
- family photo albums (print pictures once or twice a year and fill)
-I don't scrapbook or even want to, but hope to get one printed someday of my family blog perhaps?
Just some ideas!
